What Happens on the Call

Expect a short, practical chat. The provider will likely ask:

• What is happening, and where in the house?
• Is water still running or flooding?
• When did it start?
• What type of home and foundation do you have?

Have answers ready. Photos help a lot. If you can safely do it, shut off the water first. Then take pictures before anyone touches a thing. Photos before repairs make quotes more accurate and give you a record.

• Do turn off the water at the main valve if a pipe is leaking.
• Do keep children and pets away from standing water and sewage.
• Do write down the time and what you noticed.
• Do not pour harsh drain chemicals into a blocked pipe. They can hurt pipes and harm the person who works on them.
